This website is provided for information about research and access to research studies. We have taken every care to ensure that the information is accurate, complete and kept up-to-date. This is subject to amendments to governance and monitoring procedures being provided to the Citizen Scientist Project. We ensure that all research studies offered comply with governance checks and have ethical approval.
The use of this website does not guarantee a place on a research study. Neither does it mean you are committed to a particular study if you apply through this website. At any time you are free to enter or leave a study and this should be discussed with the study team.
All links from this website are selected using our links policy. Links are provided for information and convenience only. We cannot accept responsibility for the sites linked to, or the information found there. A link does not imply an endorsement of a site; likewise, not linking to a particular site does not imply lack of endorsement. You do not have to ask permission to link directly to pages hosted on this site. However, we do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site. The pages must load into the user’s entire window. You must not use the NHS logo to link to our site without prior permission.
Every effort is taken to ensure that the information contained in this website is both accurate and complete. The information given should not be considered to be a substitute for medical care and all aspects of any research study should be discussed with the research professionals involved.
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to this website, or the sites to which it links. We accept no responsibility for any damages arising from the loss of use of this information.
The names, images and logos identifying Citizen Scientist are the proprietary marks of Salford Research and Development. Copying our logos and any other third party logos accessed via this website is not permitted without the prior approval of the relevant copyright owner.
We make every effort to check and test material at all stages of production. It is always wise for you to run an anti-virus programme on all material downloaded from the internet. We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system that may occur while using material derived from this website.
We manage our corporate Twitter account during standard business hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Our followers can expect between 2-10 tweets a week, although this may increase in special circumstances, such as updates from events. Occasionally our Twitter account will be updated out of hours. There may be times when Twitter is unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
We welcome feedback and ideas from all our followers, and endeavour to engage where possible. However, we may be unable to reply individually to messages we receive via Twitter. We read all @replies and Direct Messages and ensure that any emerging themes or helpful suggestions are passed to relevant people in the programme.
Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to media enquiries or Freedom of Information (FoI) requests through Twitter, nor can we offer medical advice to individuals in any capacity.
If you follow @CitzSci we will not automatically follow you back. This is to discourage the use of direct messaging, avoid resource wasting spam handling and so that you can easily identify other key Twitter users that we think are relevant and who we follow. However, being followed by Citizen Scientist does not imply endorsement of any kind.
